mwhaaa haaa haaa!
So, yesterday I asked my sister what she would like for her birthday. She said a learn to knit kit....mwhaaa haaa haaa....she's comin' over to the dark side!
I've looked at the learn to knit kits my LYS carries, but they aren't terribly exciting. I think I'm going to make a learn to knit kit out of beautiful Colinette or gorgeous recycled silk sari yarn and a set of knitting needles. Easy knit + beautiful yarn = junkie.

Yes, make your own kit! I also recommend Knitting for Dummies for beginners. I still reference that book, the illustrations are great.
